At six years old while most children are outside playing I was in Children's Hospital for
over eight months. During my time in the hospital I had to stay in a special tent filled with
clean air. Camping is fun, and having a tent was really neat at first but I soon became
lonely and bored. Fortunately I had plenty of time to
imagine my story.
I imagined a day I could leave the hospital and become a Cowboy like my father who was
my hero. I imagined watching magnificent horses racing across the great planes in the
early morning dew. I imagined the wind in my face and the smell of wheat and fresh prairie
flowers, outside the hospital.

My mind was filled with imagination of traveling the world riding and roping like my father,
even though the doctors said I had very little to no chance of every riding again safely.

As life progressed I keep my dreams and worked toward my goals accomplishing of them
even landing a role in the Broadway production of the Will Rogers Follies and much more.
